Why the company return is more than a form
Money taken out of a company by a shareholder or their associate can be treated as an unfranked dividend under Division 7A unless it is repaid, put under a complying loan agreement or otherwise dealt with by the lodgement date. We check this every year so there are no surprises.
We also look at how profits are best paid out (salary, dividends or retained), and whether the company’s structure still suits the business.

It depends on the company’s size and lodgement history. As a registered tax agent we can usually access later lodgement dates under the tax agent lodgement program, and we’ll confirm your due date when we take you on.
Can you take over from my current accountant?
Yes. We update the ATO nomination and collect prior-year records and working papers for you.
Do you prepare the financial statements as well?
Yes. Financial statements are part of every company return we prepare.
